LuzDelMes Mes Tri-Anthology and Hispanic Heritage Month

Del 15 de septiembre al 15 de octubre celebramos en los Estados Unidos el Mes de la Herencia Hispana o Mes de la Hispanidad. Es una celebración sumamente importante, ya que se resaltan los logros, aportes y contribuciones de los Hispanos en éste país. Las Ferias Internacionales de Libros y eventos culturales son lo más sobresaliente durante este mes.

LuzDelMes Tri-Anthology promueve y apoya a los autores hispanos que han contribuido al desarrollo de esta Antología.
Les comparto algunos consejos prácticos para celebrar la Hispanidad y mantener nuestras raíces Hispanas en cualquier lugar del mundo donde nos encontremos.

Primero, una Feria de Libros, es una valiosa experiencia; no solo, para el escritor sino para el lector y vale la pena asistir a una de ella como medio de intervención y aprendizaje. Y sobre todo, para apoyar la lectura Hispana.

Segundo, es una oportunidad para conectarse con escritores, poetas y obtener una nueva perspectiva de la escritura de la época. Es una fuente de inspiración y regocijo escuchar un poema en su propio idioma u obtener literatura en español para leer a sus hijos y fomentar nuestro idioma.

Tercero, es importante analizar cual conferencia o taller es apropiado para su necesidad, especialmente si se tiene niños. En algunas Ferias de Libros o eventos hay una sección totalmente gratis de lectura para niños de todas las edades, con actividades y lectura de cuentos infantiles.

No se pierdan el gozo de compartir o conocer a un escritor, escuchar a un poeta, divertirse con un Cuenta-cuentos en las Ferias de libros o eventos culturales y leer una Antología durante el mes de la Herencia Hispana.

Zoe Savina at Luz Del Mes Tri-Anthology

Zoe Savina

Zoe Savina was born in Athens. She is married to sculptor Vangelis Moustakas. She has published 22 poetry collections, the 7 of which are small poetic compositions.  Her collection Enchantress haiku-tanka, bilingual, its third edition was translated into 5 languages. Zoe published an “International Haiku Anthology” in 2002 The Leaves are Back on the Tree, 500 pages, featuring 186 poets from 50 countries. Her haiku book The House, 2008 was published in Colombia in Spanish, 2009. She’s a member of the National Association of Greek Writers, founding member of Coordinating Center of Hellenism, member of the World Haiku Association (Fujimi Saitama) Japan and honorary member of the Yugoslav Haiku Association. She has delivered speeches at conferences and symposia in Greece and abroad. She presented 34 poets in the context of Nuovi Poeti Greci (1982) for the Grafic Olimpia di Milano. Her poems have been awarded and published in several places, Who's Who, radio and television in 19 countries. Today she collaborates with the magazine "3rd Millennium".

H Ζωή Σαβίνα γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα.Είναι παντρεμένη με τον γλύπτη Ευάγγελο Μουστάκα. Έχει εκδώσει 22 ποιητικές συλλογές, οι 7 εκ των οποίων είναι μικρές ποιητικές συνθέσεις.Η συλλογή της «Μάγισσες» χαϊκού-τάνκα, (δίγλωσσο) στην Τρίτη του έκδοση μεταφράστηκε σε 5 γλώσσες. Το 2002 δημοσίευσε την  ««Παγκόσμια Ανθολογία Χαϊκού» -Τα φύλλα στο δέντρο ξανά-, 500 σελίδες,186 με ποιητές από 50 χώρες. Η ποιητική της συλλογή  «Το Σπίτι » δίγλωσσο, 2008, εκδώθηκε στην Κολομβία (2009) στα Ισπανικά. Είναι τακτικό μέλος της Εθνικής Εταιρίας των Ελλήνων Λογοτεχνών, Ιδρυτικό στέλεχος του Συντονιστικού Κέντρου Ελληνισμού, μέλος της World Haiku Association –Fujimi Saitama-Japan,  Επίτιμο μέλος της Yugoslav Haiku Association of Yugoslavia. Έχει  λάβει μέρος και έχει δώσει ομιλίες σε Συνέδρια, Συμπόσια, στην Ελλάδα και στο εξωτερικό.Εκπροσώπησε 34 ποιητές στο πλαίσιο της «Nuovi Pοeti Greci” για τον εκδοτικό οίκο Grafic Olimbia di Milano-Italia.Τα ποιήματά της έχουν παρουσιαστεί σε έντυπα, Ανθολογίες, who is who, εφημερίδες, ραδιόφωνο, τηλεόραση σε 19 χώρες.Γράφει ποίηση, χαϊκού, Τάνκα,Μινουέτο,Δοκίμια, παραμύθια και κριτικές. Yormán Mejías at Luz Del Mes Tri-Anthology

Yormán Mejías

Venezuelan professor and writer, graduated from the University of Carabobo, Venezuela with a degree in Education, mention in Language and Literature. He belongs to the board of the organization The Latin American Cultural Heritage where he actively participates in the dissemination of Spanish literature in New York City. In 2016 he published Minicuentos / Mini-stories. In 2017, he designed the Basic Guide to write contemporary stories, which he used as a basis to teach creative writing workshops and narrative techniques in the United States, the Dominican Republic, Costa Rica and Venezuela. Some of his poems were published in the LACUHE 2017 Poetic Collection. In 2018 he published a book of stories entitled Introspectiva. Profesor y escritor venezolano, graduado en la Universidad de Carabobo (Venezuela) de licenciatura en Educación, mención Lengua y Literatura. Yvona Fast Luz Del Mes Tri-Anthology

Yvona Fast

Yvona Fast’s love of books led her to become a librarian. Now retired, she writes poems, essays and articles which have appeared in several magazines, anthologies and newspapers. She has written a newspaper food column weekly since 2005. 

Her first book, Employment for Individuals with Asperger Syndrome or Non-Verbal Learning Disability: Stories and Strategies was published in 2004 by JKP.

In 2011, she co-wrote a memoir with her mother. In 2013, she published her cookbook, Garden Gourmet: Fresh & Fabulous Meals from your Garden, CSA or Farmers' Market. Her poetry chapbook, Different, was published by Foothills Publishing in 2017; Adirondack Blue Seasons, her second chapbook of poetry, came out with CWP in 2018. She lives in the northern Adirondacks, where she’s a member of the Adirondack Center for Writing and The Poetry Group. She’s also a member of SCBWI.

El amor de Yvona Fast por los libros la llevó a convertirse en bibliotecaria. Está jubilada, escribe poemas, ensayos y artículos que han aparecido en varias revistas, antologías y periódicos. Ha escrito una columna semanal de alimentos en los periódicos desde 2005.
