Each year on March 17, people around the world wear green to honor Saint Patrick. His feast day takes place during Lent, reminding us that this celebration has Christian roots. Saint Patrick was a Christian missionary who helped bring the Gospel to Ireland in the fifth century. Though he was not Irish by birth, his faith and dedication led many people to Christianity.
Why is Saint
Patrick the patron Saint of Ireland?
As a teenager, Patrick was kidnapped and taken to Ireland as a slave. During those difficult years, he prayed often and grew closer to God. After escaping and returning home, he became a priest and later returned to Ireland to preach the Gospel.
☘️The Shamrock and the Trinity Reflection
According to tradition, Patrick used the Shamrock to
explain the mystery of the Holy Trinity. Just as the shamrock has three
leaves but one plant, God is one God in three Persons: Father, Son, and
Holy Spirit.

Quién es San Patricio?
Cada 17 de
marzo, personas de todo el mundo se visten de verde para honrar a San Patricio.
