Maritza M. Mejia at Author’s Talk Book Show

Maritza M. Mejia participated at the prestigious book store Books & Books, in Coral Gables at the fantastic event Author's Talk Book Show organized by Maria Salvadora Perry. 

She shared with local authors and audience, her award-winning books, Hazel Eyes and Poems, Thoughts and More. Her memoir received the Latino Book Awards 2016 for BEST translation English to Spanish, and her poems, the VCB Poetry Award 2015.

Welcome June! As the earth spins; one could feel the gentle breeze, others the cruel freeze. While Mother Nature screams out, “Be gentle, it's all I ask.” 

We are tired to hear, “It is time to take care of our planet” in all kinds of means and ways; but what are we doing to fix this dilemma? I invite you this month to be conscious about it and take action.

¡Bienvenido Junio! Mientras que la tierra rota; unos podrán sentir la briza suave, otros el cruel frio. Mientras la Madre Naturaleza grita, “Ten cuidado conmigo, es todo lo que pido.” 

Ya estamos cansados de oír, “Es tiempo de cuidar nuestro planeta” en todos los medios y formas; pero ¿qué estamos haciendo para reparar éste dilema? Te invito este mes a tomar conciencia de este tema y actuar.

Finalizando la presentación de Ojos Avellana en Sala H de FILBo, las talentosas Elizabeth Alvarez y La Cotri Cotrina, de RADIO ACCi, entrevistan a la autora Maritza Martínez Mejia en la Sala VIP del Auditorio de la Feria Internacional del Libro en Bogotá, Colombia el 7 de Mayo, 2017.

La escritora y poeta Colombiana radicada en los Estados Unidos lleva publicados cinco libros. Entre ellos un poemario bilingüe el cual llamó la atención a las periodistas.

"Poemas, Pensamientos y Algo más" es una colección de poemas, anécdotas y frases ilustres que entretienen al lector. Nace de una recopilación de poemas escritos para los grupos virtuales de poetas en Facebook. Su objetivo es celebrar la vida y la diversidad con humor.

"Poemas, Pensamientos y Algo más" llegó a la #Filbo2017. Gracias a la acogida y grata entrevista de Radio Acci #TodosSomosLibros.
