The beginning of Autumn varies according to the year, as it happens with all seasons.
In the Northern Hemisphere, it begins with the autumn equinox on September 22, while in the Southern Hemisphere it starts on the same date but in March. The autumn equinox is the time of the year when the day has the same duration as the night. From then on, the days will be shorter and shorter, and that is why autumn is the time when the length of the day shortens the fastest.

El inicio del otoño varía en función del año, al igual que ocurre con todas las estaciones. En el hemisferio norte comienza con el equinoccio de otoño el 22 de septiembre, mientras que en el hemisferio sur lo hace los mismos días pero de marzo. El equinoccio de otoño es el momento del año en que el día tiene la misma duración que la noche. A partir de entonces, los días serán cada vez más cortos porque el otoño es la época en que la longitud del día se acorta más rápido.
