Easter is not a day but a Season!
With the rejoice at the resurrection of Christ, the church celebrates the
Easter season or Eastertide.
St. Athanasius said that the
fifty days from the Sunday of the Resurrection to Pentecost are like “one great
Sunday.”
The octave (eight days) of
high celebration beginning on Easter Sunday as a continuation of the joy of the
resurrection and ends on the Second Sunday of Easter of the Divine Mercy. It is
followed by 42 more days of rejoicing, concluding on Pentecost.
I love the Easter greeting
used in the Eastern Churches.
“Christ is Risen.” …
“He is Risen Indeed!”

Pascua no es un día, sino una temporada! Con la alegría por la resurrección de
Cristo, la iglesia celebra el tiempo de Pascua.
San
Atanasio dijo que los cincuenta días desde el domingo de la Resurrección hasta
Pentecostés son como "un gran domingo".
La
octava (ocho días) de gran celebración comienza el domingo de Pascua, como continuación de la alegría de la resurrección, y termina el segundo domingo de Pascua, de la Divina Misericordia. Le siguen 42 días más de júbilo que culminan en Pentecostés.

encanta el saludo de Pascua que se usa en las Iglesias Orientales.
