The Japanese’s myths and legends have a long history with bamboo, metaphorically linking a man's strength with this plant that invite us to flexible in life. Many festivals also include the use of bamboo in various forms. It is not often we get the chance to see bamboo forest that grows thick and line the path like they do here in Arashiyama, Kyoto. The most beautiful spot is not at the beginning of the path, but further away past Tenryuji Zen Temple entrance with one of the finest gardens in Kyoto and wonderful mountain views where bamboo grows further apart from each other, allowing it to become thick and beautiful.

Los
mitos y leyendas de los japoneses tienen una larga historia con el bambú,
vinculando metafóricamente a la fuerza del hombre con esta planta que nos invita a ser flexibles en la vida. Muchos
festivales también incluyen el uso del bambú en varias formas. No es frecuente
que tengamos la oportunidad de ver bosques de bambú en su estado natural que
crecen y alinean el camino como lo hacen aquí en Arashiyama, Kioto en el Japón.
El
lugar más hermoso no se encuentra al principio del camino, sino más allá de la
entrada del templo de Tenryuji, donde los bosques de bambú crecen más separados
entre sí, lo que permite que se vuelva espeso y hermoso.
