Book Review and Activity of Maya and Annie on Saturdays and Sundays

Maya and Annie on Saturdays and Sundays / Los Sabados Y Domingos de Maya Y Annie

by  Gwendolyn Zepeda (Goodreads Author), Thelma Muraida (Illustrator)

This bilingual picture book contains bright illustrations that depict the richness of the culture and the beauty of diversity. It’s a tale about melding families and traditions throughout cultural celebrations and a wedding preparation. It’s written in English and Spanish.
The story started with Maya and Annie who learn about each other's family and cultural heritage. They become more than just friends on Saturdays and Sundays. They traveled us to places and traditions such as the Posadas, Lunar New Year, food, tradition and culture.
I recommend this book for its rich cultural value.
