Sotiria Kyrmanidou

Sotiria Kyrmanidou was born in Thessaloniki and followed studies related to Social Work and practiced in Sidirokastro, since 1989 and for the next twenty-one years she worked with students in Special Education, until 2010 when she became a pensioner. Following her initiative, the Social Service was established in Sidirokastro where she volunteered for two years. She has cooperated as a Specialist with Social Bodies and offered Consultation to parents. She trained Undergraduate students at Democritus University of Thrace-Social Work Studies. Her works, poems and stories, have received numerous awards and distinctions as well as exceptional references. She has published five Poetry books, fairy tales, related to special needs and health. She is also a Radio Producer at “Radio Kivotos” of Holy Metropolis of Serres and Nigrita. Contact her at email: sotkirmanidou@yahoo.gr

 Η Σωτηρία Κυρμανίδου γεννήθηκε στη Θεσσαλονίκη και σπούδασε Κοινωνική Εργασία στην Αθήνα. Διορίστηκε ως Κοινωνική Λειτουργός ενώ από το 1989 εργάσθηκε στην οικογένεια της Ειδικής Αγωγής μέχρι τον Ιούνιο του 2010,από όπου και συνταξιοδοτήθηκε. Με πρωτοβουλία της ιδρύθηκε  η  Κοινωνική Υπηρεσία στο Δήμο Σιδηροκάστρου, όπου προσέφερε εθελοντικά τις υπηρεσίες της επί δυόμιση χρόνια.

 Έχει συνεργαστεί με τοπικούς φορείς  ως επιμορφώτρια και  πραγματοποίησε συμβουλευτική με ομάδες γονέων. Συνεργάσθηκε με το Δημοκρίτειο Πανεπιστήμιο Θράκης – τμήμα Κοινωνικής Διοίκησης, κατεύθυνση Κοινωνικής Εργασίας, ως εκπαιδεύτρια φοιτητών Είναι ραδιοφωνικός παραγωγός στο «ΡΑΔΙΟ-ΚΙΒΩΤΟΣ» της Ιεράς Μητροπόλεως Σερρών και Νιγρίτης.
