Olga M. Muñoz


Olga Mirabal Muñoz, Cuban teacher by profession and retired from classrooms, lover of literature in which she remains active. Olga is attracted to the Japanese Cinquain and Haiku verses. She has ventured into the narrative style of poetry and poetic prose from where they were born: five poems, a collection of children's stories and an autobiography.
Graduated from university studies, at the Normal School for Teachers in Havana, Cuba. She earned a degree in Language Art at St. Thomas University, in Florida, USA. 
Since 1990 she has been recognized in different scenarios for her work dedicated to the dissemination of Spanish language, improvement and extension of vocabulary. Her work has traveled to Spain, Colombia and recognized in the public libraries of Miami-Dade County, Florida. Recognized by the newspaper El Nuevo Herald in the ARTES and LETRAS section. In 2009, she received Honor Mention in two poems by the Center for Poetic Studies Madrid, Spain. Olga Mirabal Muñoz, cubana, maestra de profesión y retirada de las aulas. Amante de la literatura en la que se mantiene activa. Escritora de cinco poemarios, una colección de cuentos infantiles y  una autobiografía.
