COVID-19’s lessons learned
By Tere Rodríguez-Nora
Highlighted Fragment
The pandemic has continued, but my perspective is different. The lessons learned are now my light: We need to take care of ourselves mentally as we do physically, we need to be compassionate to others; we have a duty as citizens towards others; we should treasure every moment we live because life is like a sigh; we have to value what others do for us, not take them for granted; we should tell others, with words and actions, how we feel; we should dance, laugh, sing more; we need to learn that there’s more in life than working or a daily routine, we need to understand that is completely fine to have bad days; and more importantly, we have to be aware that we need to pause in order to continue living.

Quarantine Haibun By Sydney Solis
Highlighted Fragment
My respite from the weariness of a Covid-19-ravaged world and quarantine is morning meditation, soaking up the fecund Florida nature of our backyard garden and writing haiku.

Between Fear and Hope By Suzan Johnson
Highlighted Fragments
The fear of an unknown virus is paralyzing. Then hope seeps in.  As the lock-down continued people have begun to pay attention.  They paid attention to their children, and families.  They interacted in creative ways, at home and online.  Some have said “back to the basics.”

Ubiquitous Mask Use in Fastidious Japan By Steve McCarty
Highlighted Fragment
The advice of an academic is, based on scientific evidence, to reason for oneself and on behalf of the vulnerable. That is, besides stocking up on masks, families need to be ready for man-made emergencies.
Writers and artists plumb the wellsprings of humanity and open new routes to constructive solutions and productive relationships for the future.

Olga M. Muñoz Thoughts: Skeptical and Believers
The man who ask, desire, long for; can bow down to the Divine, but it must be True, Honest Humble and Sincere. True Faith is not appearance, but presence. Convinced in his faith and his actions to be heard. God did not promise happiness, but he wants happy, satisfied, authentic men who ask with their hearts not with their tongues, to bow down with solemnity not for reverences.
