World Teachers’ Day: Honoring the Hearts That Shape the Future

Every year on October 5, the world comes together to celebrate World Teachers’ Day — a special occasion to recognize the dedication, creativity, and compassion of teachers everywhere. Established by UNESCO in 1994, this day honors the invaluable contributions of educators who inspire minds and nurture hearts across generations. A teacher’s influence reaches far beyond the classroom.

2026 theme is "Standing with teachers: 60 years of protecting the profession, advancing its status and shaping our futures," by reviewing the current challenges related to teacher status and the strategies to address them, and calls on society and policymakers to protect, promote, and elevate that status.

Happy World Teachers’ Day to all who teach, guide, and inspire — in classrooms and beyond. 🌿

I appreciate your support!🌷
