LuzDelMes in Israel
✞Sunday, May 1, Day 7: FROM JUDEA TO GALILEE
Early in the morning we left Notre Dame Center and before heading to Galilee, we visited the Garden of Gethsemane and meditated on the agony of Jesus in this place surrounded by Olive trees and darkness. (Mark 14:32-42)
Prayers at Gethsemane
The Garden of Gethsemane where Jesus agonized to the point of sweating blood on the night He was abandoned, arrested, and betrayed. It was a heavy moment to be able to spend time in prayer in the place where Jesus entered into His Passion. (Matthew 26: 36-56)
Thanks to the excellent tour guide, Bader Rabadi and great helper, Ryan Krietsch, I survived the long walks the first week in Israel
Then we drove north from Jerusalem to Magdala, about 2.5 hours north. We finished the day with a Mass reading John 21:1-14 with the Sea of Galilee in the background. Check the Gospel reading out and you will see how appropriate it was.
We stayed at the Magdala Guest House, the village of Mary Magdalene, (John 20:11-18) in front of the Lake of Galilee. Amazing view!
Expect more about it!
My pilgrimage experience began at home.
