The story of Purim ~ Fiesta de la Alegría

The holiday of Purim falls on the 14th day of the Hebrew month of Adar 14. It  is a lesser Jewish holiday that commemorates the salvation of the Jewish people in ancient Persia from Haman’s plot to destroy all the Jews. This story is recorded in the Book of Esther.

Purim 2018 falls on: February 28- March 1 /2019: March 20-21 / 2020: March 9-10

Kids Activities 

The book of Esther tells the exciting life of a young beautiful and humble Jewish at a time in which his people was pursued. Ester with his intelligence and courage avoided to be extinct. 

Read the story of bravery and love narrated in the Bible in the Book of Esther or Jewish Megillah Book of Esther.  Color Queen Esther and Make Hamantashen. The Hamantashen are always triangular and designed to look like the triangular hat that the villain of the Purim story, Haman, wore. 
Let us follow the example of Ester and get the strength to live according to what we believe is correct.

La fiesta de Purim o Fiesta de la Alegria se celebra anualmente el día 14 del mes hebreo de Adar. La historia se encuentra en el Libro de Ester en la  Biblia Católica o en El Libro Judío de la  Meguilá donde se relata el complot de Amán para destruir a los judíos.
El libro de Ester relata la apasionante vida de una bella y humilde joven judía en una época en la que su pueblo fue perseguido. Ester con su inteligencia y coraje evita que sea extinto. Sigamos el ejemplo de Ester y consigamos la fuerza para vivir de acuerdo a lo que creemos es correcto.
