March 8 is International Women's Day and it can mean different things. For some it's a day to celebrate, for others it's a call to action, for me it's a day to celebrate motherhood. It is my son's birthday!
The first International Women's Day celebrated by the United Nations was 1975. No matter the objective, International Women's Day is a perfect moment to value the effort of women in society, family, church and work.
I will celebrate it by reading Poetry, participaing in Read to Me Day and nurturing myself at the Diócesis de Palm Beach with the Annual Catholic Women Conference.

El 8 de marzo es el Día Internacional de la Mujer y puede significar diferentes cosas. Para algunos es un día para celebrar, para otros es una llamada a la acción, para mí es un día para celebrar la maternidad. Es el cumpleaños de mi hijo.
La primera celebración del día internacional de la mujer fue en 1975. No importa el objetivo, el día internacional de la mujer es el momento perfecto para reconocer el esfuerzo de las mujeres en la sociedad, familia, iglesia y trabajo.
Yo lo celebraré leyendo poesía, participando en el Día Internacional de "Read to Me Day", y nutriéndome en la Conferencia Anual de Mujeres Católicas de Palm Beach.
