Book Review and Activity of David ADHD by Sherrill S. Cannon

by  (Goodreads Author) with excellent rhyme and content and colorful illustrations by Kalpart introduces the subject of ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder) in an easy way.
It clearly explains why they behave as they do and what challenges they face. I learned that medication is not the only treatment for ADHD. It is a great tool not only for children, but also to caregivers who work with kids like David.
I particularly liked how the book includes other characters from previous books and develops David’s progress as his parents consults with doctors, work on his new schedule, excels on his computer skills and finds ways to calm and sooth David’s active behavior. I most highly recommended David’s ADHD.

Other Books on my shelf by Sherrill S. Cannon
We welcome David’s ADHD on my special shelf. I love that each book uses characters from the previous book to help children learn “good manners” and ways to give to others. My “Manner Trilogy” is my favorite tool in all occasions.
The Magic Word uses little Elisabeth to show children the importance of using Please and Thank You in their social relationships. Elisabeth’s mother reminds her, “What is the magic word?”
Gimme-Jimmy, Elisabeth appears as a classmate who helps show children how to be polite and think of others. This book present Jimmy’s father as the main adult character who help his son changes his bad attitude towards others.
Manner-Man, both Elisabeth and Jimmy appear as children advocates for bully prevention with the superhero Manner-Man who help them stop bullying. Manner-Man reminds them that their own heroes are inside.
I received a copy of David’s ADHD by Sherrill S. Cannon   as part of the #ReadYourWorld.
