I Know How to Bonjour is a good source for French-English teachers or beginner learning students. The English section is written in rhyming verses. The French part, including the illustrations, are in green hues pastel colors, giving the story an interesting contrast with the English version. The book contains a variety of vocabulary activity pages and glossary for easy understanding.

How to Bonjour is the story of a child's first day in a French
Kindergarten classroom. She discovers words by assimilation with excitement and
joy. She plays, sings, and laughs while she has questions and wonders if she is
understanding her teacher.
When she
comes back home, while talking with her mother, one thing is clear for this
little girl, she learns a long lasting lesson: “we are alike more than different.”
